SUMMARY:Welcome Australia’s Ambassador to Switzerland
DESCRIPTION:The Australian Swiss Chamber of Commerce (AusCham) had the pleasure of hosting a special event in Zurich to welcome the recently appointed Australian Ambassador to Switzerland, H.E. Elizabeth Day.\nIn the setting of a traditional 18th-century stately guild house, Zunfthaus zur Meisen, guests had the opportunity to meet with the Ambassador along with colleagues and friends in the Australian and Swiss business community.\nVicki Tanner, President of AusCham, moderated an interview with the Ambassador, who provided her insights into Australia’s strengths for foreign investment and the opportunities for Swiss based businesses. Guests learnt a little more about the Ambassador – her background and the priorities for her tenure in Switzerland as well as personal anecdotes about her family. In turn, the audience had an opportunity to ask the Ambassador questions.\nThe formalities concluded with a toast to the Ambassador, led by Arv Sreedhar, Managing Director of Atlantic Partners Asia Switzerland, an AusCham corporate member and fellow “Adeladean”.\nSpecial thanks to Pacific Wines, also an AusCham corporate member who kindly provided the excellent Shiraz from Barossa Valley.\nPhotos courtesy of Andaleeb Lilley.\n\n
