Why Victoria?

Along with the State Government of Victoria, Australia, we were delighted to host members and friends at an evening showcasing the world-class industry strengths of Victoria and recent action in creating new investment opportunities in key sectors ranging from renewable energy to life sciences.

Our first speaker, Gönül Serbest was appointed the Commissioner for Victoria to Europe, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa to strengthen the State’s presence, profile and trade and investment connections across the region. Gönül spoke on the prevailing advantages of what makes Melbourne and the State of Victoria such an attractive destination to invest, work, study and live.

The keynote speaker, Sergio Dias, Head of Key Accounts Management and member of the Global Leadership Team spoke on RepRisk’s journey and their future plans in the Australian ESG market. RepRisk AG is an environmental, social and corporate governance data science company based in Zurich, Switzerland, specializing in ESG and business-conduct risk research, and quantitative solution.

The evening was moderated by Vicki Tanner, Partner at C-Matrix Communications and President of the Australian Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
