“Taxes & Tannins” – Navigating Residency Laws with a Sip!

The Australian Swiss Chamber of Commerce was delighted to host over 60 guests at an informative and entertaining event held in the Deloitte offices of Zurich – thank you to all our guests for attending.

Thank you to our speakers, Geoff Taylor of Majenda, who provided insights on the latest tax rulings in Australia.  Geoff and Carla Smart, a Chartered Financial Planner based in Switzerland, of Skybound Wealth Management then presented case studies based on real life situations for both the ‘Going Home’ as well as ‘Retire in Switzerland / Europe’ scenarios, which resonated with many of the guests’ own circumstances.

Following the presentation, guests were primed and ready for wine tasting with a difference, with a little healthy competition thrown in! We were fortunate to have  AusCham corporate member, Paul Liversedge of Real Wines, who provided us with his expertise as a Master of Wine and lead us through a blind wine tasting comparing Australian and French varietals.
